As witnessed last weekend in the 7QP contest, the CW band segments were hopping with activity while SSB was not so busy. And when it comes to DXing in general, having CW skills makes this hobby tons of fun and puts you at a significant advantage in working up the DXCC count. Want to put the Marshall Islands in your log? Neil V73NS is active almost every day using CW only. Ditto for Angola where you can often find Gabriel D2EB on CW but never on SSB or FT8... there are many more examples.

Bob Carter (WR7Q) is a longtime mentor with the CW Academy organization and will present on this important topic.

Prior to Bob's info share we will hear from Ron Wilcox (KF7ZN) on health & safety considerations when operating portable. This is timely with Field Day coming up later next month.

73 & see you then,
John Mitton (KK7L)
