What is this?
Attention intrepid contesters: come join us for Winter Field Day during the weekend of January 25/26 at Antelope Island! We have obtained a Special Use Permit to park up to three campers at the Visitor's Center parking lot, with a beautiful downslope take-off angle for our antennas -- this hopefully compensating for the, um, lack of trees for hanging wires!
Setup: from 8:00 am Saturday
Contest: 12:00 noon Saturday through 12:00 noon Sunday
Entrance gate hours: 6:00 am through 7:00 pm daily
Two HF stations will be set up by W7VQ, W7GEM, KK7L and all are invited to come operate & bring other gear... we are especially in need of help with:
- Someone to make one satellite QSO sometime for us on site
- Someone to setup and make some QSOs on as many modes as possible on the VHF/UHF bands (band/modes are multipliers!).
